Hello {{First Name}},

Greetings from Canada! 🇨🇦

Pre-flight Holiday Cheers!

Winter, Campfire and Cocoa!

We made it home on the redeye—exhausted but grateful. It’s been a whirlwind, but I wanted to send a quick note to connect.

As we head into this holiday season, I want to wish you and your loved ones a time of peace, rest, and deep connection. The holidays offer us a rare opportunity to pause, reflect, and create lasting memories that will carry us into the new year.

That said, I also want to recognize that this time of year isn’t always just joy and cheer. For some of us, the holidays can bring feelings of burnout, overwhelm, or even grief—and that’s okay. There’s no "right" way to feel right now. Whatever you’re experiencing is valid. It’s important to recognize where you are and give yourself permission to feel however you do.

Who are you feeling like this December?

Whether you're feeling like Buddy the Elf, soaking up every moment, or more like the Grinch, struggling to find your holiday cheer, my wish for you is simple: be present this season.

The holidays are full of potential special moments, but if we’re not present, we miss them. We get lost in the rush, the stress, the to-do lists—and when that happens, we risk missing the magic that’s right in front of us.

Being present doesn’t just help us enjoy the holidays; it improves our wellbeing. It strengthens how we show up for others, reduces stress, gives us space to recharge, and helps us create memories that last. Without it, we risk burnout, anxiety, and losing sight of what’s truly important.

Actionable Exercise:
As you reflect on the idea of being present and creating meaningful moments this holiday season, take a moment to imagine it’s now January, and you’re chatting with a friend or colleague:

  • What is one joyful moment you’d love to tell them about from your holiday?

  • Alternatively: What is the story you don’t want to have as a memory?
    (e.g., “I got in a big argument with…”, “I was on calls all week…”)

So, this holiday season, I hope you are able to truly create and enjoy the moments that matter for you and drop the rest.

Wishing you warmth, peace, and joy this holiday season—whatever that looks like for you.

Happy Holidays,
Eric
