A Weekly Pause to Move You Forward
You’re reading Infinite Momentum: a Sunday reflection followed by 130+ thoughtful executives, founders, and creatives navigating growth, change, and clarity.
“Start where you are.”
The first move isn’t always the biggest, but it’s the one that matters most.
One of the easiest traps to fall into, especially if you're thoughtful, ambitious, or wired to perform, is waiting.
This can be waiting until things calm down, until you feel more ready, until you have more time, energy, confidence, or clarity. Waiting until things are ‘perfect.’
But momentum doesn’t come from having the perfect plan, as we all know, it comes from making things happen.
I’ve seen this again and again in people I work with, and in myself.
A founder walking in circles for days before finally hitting “send.”
A friend who’s been meaning to leave a job for a year, and only recently truly realized no one’s going to do it for him.
A peer asking everyone else’s advice for fear of missing out on something that might change the whole equation.
Overthinking.
It’s good in small doses. It’s paralyzing when it consumes your ability to act.
Even this series started that way: without a blueprint, but just a desire to try something new.
You can probably think of someone right now. Whatever they’re stuck on, they’ve been there so long, you know what they’re going to say before they say it.
We like to think we’ll start once the fog clears, but it usually clears after we begin.
Look, starting doesn’t mean being reckless or rushing.
It means you stop looking outside yourself for the green light.
Stop waiting for life to happen to you. Make the call.
Whatever you’ve been circling — a decision, a project, a shift you know is overdue — maybe you don’t need more prep. Maybe you just need to get on with it already.
It can be small. It can be messy.
It doesn’t have to be brave.
It just has to be yours.

Kids don’t wait until they feel ready to create; they grab a crayon and start. That’s the energy. Start where you are. Make your version of a masterpiece.
Bonus points if you smile while doing it!
You are not behind.
You are not too late.
You are exactly where it starts.
This week’s nudge:
What’s something you’ve been waiting to start?
What if you’re never going to feel any more ready?
What would change if you just… began?
Cheers to getting on with it,
Eric
P.S. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is as good as any.
How did this land for you today?
