A Weekly Pause to Move You Forward

This week’s reminder for living with momentum:

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now."

Ancient Proverb

You probably already know what matters.
That thing you’ve been meaning to start again? It’s not a mystery.

You might want to reconnect with someone.
Pick up a habit that brought you energy — writing, movement, music.
Take better care of your body.
Start a side project or business idea you’ve been thinking about for years.
Build something that actually feels like yours.

But here’s what happens next: You wait for the right time.

“Well, this week’s too busy.”
“I’ll make time this summer.”
“I just need to feel more ready.”

Perfect conditions rarely show up.

And when you finally push yourself to begin, maybe that inner voice kicks in:

“I’m so bad at this. What am I even thinking?”
“I shouldn’t have stopped. I’m so far behind now.”
“Is it too late to even bother at this point?”

That voice? It’s not truth. It’s resistance.
And it doesn’t serve you.

If you’ve been carrying that weight for a while —
the guilt, the should-haves, the slow regret —
maybe it’s time to stop punishing yourself for not starting.

You’ve waited long enough.
The ground is still good.
The sun still shines.

You’re not behind.
You’re just ready now.

Reflect → Integrate → Move
That’s the rhythm we’re building.

Small steps. Real momentum. Your way.

Integrate Prompt

What’s one thing you’ve quietly wanted to start - or get back to - that still matters to you?

For me, it’s a few things: leveling up my company, getting back to writing, moving my body again post-injury (without getting frustrated).

Each of these would be farther along if I’d started sooner.
I’m working to let that go — and grow with the imperfection.

No perfect plan — just one positive step at a time.

You don’t have to go back. Just begin again — right where you are.

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.”

If something came to mind, you’re welcome to reply.
I read every note.

See you next Sunday,
— Eric

P.S. If this helped reset something for you, feel free to pass it along to someone else who might need this message.
