Hey {{ First Name | there reader }},
Let’s face it: finding purpose is hard. Whether you’re just starting out, feeling stuck in a job you don’t love, or wondering why success hasn’t brought fulfillment, the struggle is real.
Maybe you’ve hit a major milestone, yet feel empty. What used to fill your cup, doesn’t cut it anymore. Or you’re navigating a new stage—parenthood, midlife, or even retirement—and asking, What now?
You’re not alone. Many people wrestle with this, and it’s not a failure—it’s a signal that something deeper is calling you.

Seeking Purpose? Nature can be a great place to step out and reflect.
Why Purpose Matters
Purpose gives life direction. It’s what gets you out of bed in the morning. Without it, even the most impressive achievements can feel meaningless. With it, even small actions can feel monumental.
A Starting Point: Focus on What Truly Matters
Everyone’s journey is their own, so there isn’t one answer. The key to finding your purpose likely isn’t a magical epiphany—but it can help to take a hard look inward.
Here’s some thoughtstarters on how to get started:
Clarify Your Values
What do you truly care about? Is it family, freedom, impact, creativity? Write it down. Purpose begins where your values meet your actions.Reflect on Your Joy
Think about times when you felt alive. What were you doing? Who were you with? Your purpose often hides in these moments.Shift the Spotlight
Purpose grows when we connect to something bigger than ourselves. Who could benefit from your skills, knowledge, or time? Contribution creates meaning.Experiment Fearlessly
If you’re stuck, try new things. Take up that hobby you’ve been curious about. Volunteer. Say yes to what scares you a little. The search for purpose is messy—and that’s okay.Be Patient
Purpose isn’t something you “find” overnight. It’s a process of discovery and alignment. Let go of the pressure to have it all figured out.Get Outdoors
For a lot of us, if not all, getting outdoors or changing your environment can help inspire and create space to reflect. Get outdoors, bring a friend!
Actionable Steps You Could Try Right Now

Grab a journal - get out of your head and onto a page.
Grab a Journal: Write about what success and happiness mean to you—not what others expect. Make sure you chase your own goals, not projections.
Start a Conversation: Talk to someone who seems fulfilled and ask them about their journey.
Take One Small Step: Pick one thing today that brings you joy or aligns with your values and do it.
Editor’s Note: One small step could be adding something, but I often find it easier to identify what is clearly NOT aligned with my purpose and start by phasing that out of your life.
‘Addition through subtraction’ is a real benefit. Once you eliminate distractions and drains on your energy, you have more space for what brings you joy.
Moving Forward
Finding purpose isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about taking steps toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful. Some days, it’ll feel crystal clear. Other days, it won’t. That’s normal. Purpose isn’t a destination—it’s a compass. Keep moving toward what feels real, and fulfillment will follow.
No matter where you are in life, you can start creating a life of purpose today.
