Hi everyone,
My name is Hesham. I am an entrepreneur and adventure seeker, striving to be good.

Hi, I’m Hesham!
Born in Egypt, Canada has been my home for the past 40 years, and I hold deep gratitude for this amazing country. Driven by curiosity and a passion for learning and exploration, I have traveled to over 60 countries and eagerly anticipate discovering the next 60!

Ohhh man, Oman!
I thought to share some thoughts and reflections I wrote after going on an adventure here in Oman. I hope you enjoy the read along with a few of my favourite photos!
Cheers to all of you!

Where Your Eyes Go, Your Life Follows!
I learned this lesson the hard way, white-knuckled, gripping the steering wheel while navigating a steep, narrow Omani mountain road. One side was a sheer cliff drop, the other was a rock wall that seemed all too eager to introduce itself to my car. In those moments of pure terror, I had only one job: keep my eyes on the road ahead, not on the abyss below, and I’d be okay.
This isn’t just psychological folklore; it’s science. It’s called “visual-motor coupling”, a fancy term for the brain’s natural tendency to align our movements with wherever our eyes are focused. Whether we’re driving, biking, or making a last-ditch effort not to plummet off a mountain, our hands and feet instinctively follow our gaze.
But this principle doesn’t just apply to driving, it applies to life.

Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows
Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows.
Just like on that treacherous road, if we fixate on the wrong thing, we’re likely to steer ourselves straight into it.
Spend your days obsessing over problems, fears, and worst-case scenarios, and don’t be shocked when you find yourself stuck in them.
Conversely, when we shift our focus to solutions and opportunities, our actions follow. We move toward progress, often without even realizing it.
And this isn’t just a feel-good mantra, it’s how the brain works:
😃 Focus on gratitude? You’ll feel more positive.
😨 Fixate on fear? Your mind will reinforce every possible disaster.
🤔 Obsess over what’s missing? You’ll never see what’s already there.
🪴 Train your attention on possibility? The path forward becomes a lot smoother.

Eyes on the Road, Eyes on Your Life.
Whether navigating a precarious mountain pass or the twists and turns of life, our direction is dictated by our focus. So, let’s be clear-minded, fix our eyes and minds on where we want to go, and move forward with positivity and purpose.
And if you ever find yourself on a terrifying mountain road with a sheer drop, trust me, look straight ahead, not down.
Because in driving, as in life, what we focus on is what we move toward!
