Good morning {{ First Name | reader}}!

This week, I want to share a powerful testimonial from JC, a true professional in the protection services industry here in LA.

JC’s line of work demands not just mental focus but also physical readiness—he’s someone who literally has to be strong and resilient to excel. But a few years ago, he found himself at a crossroads with his health.

What I love about JC’s story is how real and relatable it is. He didn’t make excuses or wait for the “perfect time” to start. Instead, he committed to making small, intentional changes that completely transformed his body and mindset.

Meet my unofficial bodyguard, JC.

Here’s JC’s story, in his own words:

In 2021, I weighed 290 lbs at 6’5”. I was muscular, sure, but chubby in the midsection, and my muscles were soft. I was prediabetic, and my diet revolved around “what tasted good” instead of “what my body needed for fuel.”

Fast forward to today: I’m still 6’5”, but now I weigh 250 lbs, and I’m bigger and stronger than I was at 290. The transformation didn’t happen overnight, but it wasn’t as bad as you might think.

Here’s what worked for me in three simple steps:

1. Commit

Change your lifestyle immediately! Join a gym and start going 3-5 times a week. Consistency is key. Don’t overthink it or wait for the “perfect time.”

Take baby steps, but just start.

2. Learn

There are a ton of exercises out there for every body part, but not all of them work for everyone. Experiment and figure out what’s best for you. Personally, I highly recommend barbells and dumbbells. Free weights will add size and strength fast.

Here’s my advice: Don’t be afraid to ask someone bigger and more muscular for tips. Step out of your comfort zone—it’ll pay off big time.

3. Reconcile Your Relationship with Food

Here’s what you need to ask yourself: Are you eating because it tastes good, or because it fuels your body? Are those Doritos and that soda helping your body, or are they just comforting your brain?

Once I shifted my mindset and started seeing food as fuel, everything changed. The journey became less about “what I can’t eat” and more about making choices that empower me.

The changes I’ve made have transformed my life—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. If you’re reading this and it resonates, I hope it inspires you to take that first step toward your own transformation.

Bonus: My Vitamin Regimen

If it helps, here’s a photo of my vitamin stack. These are brand-specific because I trust these brands to do what they say they’ll do:

This is my daily vitamin regimen. They are brand-specific.

  • Magnesium Glycinate (before bedtime): Calms the body and mind.

  • Magnesium Taurate (in the morning): Regulates blood sugar and supports heart health.

These small additions have made a big difference for me. Good luck out there, and if you ever need discrete protection services in LA, let me know how I can be of service.
